Most homes take one to two days depending on roof access and how many outlets are going in. Replacing an existing unit is often quicker when the ducting can be reused. We confirm the timing when you accept the quote. In most cases the system is running the day we finish.
We need roof access, a water supply point and clear space in the ceiling for ductwork. Moving stored items out of the roof space helps us work safely. Let us know about solar panels or antennas near the proposed unit position. Everything else is our responsibility.
Evaporative cooling works by moving a large volume of fresh air through the home, so it needs windows or doors open to work properly. Sized and ducted correctly it cools the whole house on dry heat days. On humid days the effect is noticeably weaker, which is worth knowing before you commit. We will be straight with you about that rather than overselling it.
Usually yes, especially when the cabinet and ductwork are sound. Pumps, pads, motors and controls are all replaceable and often restore full performance. If the frame is corroded and past its useful life, we explain why replacement is the better spend. Either way you get the reasoning behind it.
